Vice President 

  • The Vice Presidents primary responsibility is to support the President in overseeing the PTA’s work and in managing relationships among the principal, teachers and staff, PTA board members, parents and new families.  

  • Attend monthly meetings of the Norcrest Elementary PTA Executive and General meetings and if the President is unable to attend, lead the meetings.

  • Study the bylaws, the National PTA President’s Quick Reference Guide, and Robert’s Rules of Order,
    Newly Revised, in order to be familiar with parliamentary procedure and to be an able successor to
    the president should the need arise.

  • Attend, as backup to the President when needed, monthly meetings of the PTA District Wide Council.

  • Help develop and oversee the budget.

  • Create and update the PTA Events Calendar.

  • Coordinate the Room Parent program.

  • Coordinate PTA Funding Requests.

  • Maintain and update, as needed, the PTA shared drive folders to ensure successful transition to the following year.

  • Assist with Nominating Committee.

  • Fulfill all duties as outlined in the PTA Bylaws.
