General Meeting, Elections, and Disney Raffle Drawing

The president shall preside at all meetings of the association, the executive committee and the executive board at which the president may be present; shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these bylaws or assigned by the association or by the executive board; may appoint a parliamentarian and historian, with the approval of the executive board; and shall coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the association in order that the Purposes may be promoted. To be eligible for this position, you must be a current board member and have served during the 2020-2021 term.
School and Recognition Ceremony Coordinator
The School and Recognition Ceremony Coordinator shall coordinate all student awards with school administration as well as Teacher Recognition events at school.
The corresponding secretary shall prepare and record all written communications as directed by the executive board (Examples: Minutes/Results from all PTA Meetings and PTA Board Meetings, maintain all sign in sheets for Title One Meetings) . Performs other duties as may be delegated.
The vice-president shall act as aide to the president and shall perform the duties of the president in the absence or disability of that officer to act.
The treasurer shall have custody of all the funds of the association; shall keep a full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures; and shall make disbursements in accordance with the approved budget, as authorized by the association. Three signatures should be on file at the bank, with two signatures required on all PTA checks. The treasurer shall present a financial statement at every meeting of the association and at other times when requested by the executive board and shall make a full report at the annual meeting. The treasurer shall be responsible for the maintenance of such books of account and records as conform to the requirements of Article XIII, Section 3, of the bylaws. The treasurer’s accounts shall be examined annually by an auditor or an audit committee of not less than three members who, satisfied that the treasurer’s annual report is correct, shall sign a statement of that fact at the end of the report. The audit committee shall be appointed by the executive board. The committee’s report shall be given at the next regular meeting after the audit is completed.
Volunteer/Room Parent Coordinator
The Volunteer/Room Parent Coordinator - Will work directly with administration, specifically front office management, ensuring volunteer compliance with county, county and PTA awards qualification, coordinating volunteer sign up sheets for school functions and training meetings held by the school for compliance. Preforms other duties as may be assigned. This position may be shared with another board member as a co-position.
The Fundraising Coordinator shall keep track of fundraising inventory and coordination as a whole for different fundraising activities. This position may be shared with another board member as a co-position.

We will hold General Elections at our first General Meeting. You must be a current PTA member, having a paid membership by September 07, 2021 in order to vote.
We will also be holding our Disney Raffle. All current PTA members (for the 2021-2022 school year) will be able to participate and will be automatically entered into the drawing. Two tickets will be given to a faculty/staff member and two tickets will be given to non-faculty/staff members. You must be present at the general meeting to win!
We will collect votes and announce the results at the meeting. If you would like to add your name to the ballot for any position listed below please respond by email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with your name, position seeking and your contact information. These are the seven (7) positions available for the upcoming 2021-2022 Norcrest Elementary School PTA Board. Some positions listed below may be shared by two members. It should be noted that the position of president and treasurer according to our current bylaws must filled by a current board member. If there are no current board members seeking election for the position(s) will be on the general slate.
All officers/ Executive Board Member shall: Perform the duties prescribed in these bylaws and by the parliamentary authority adopted by this association. Outgoing officers shall deliver to their successors all official material not later than ten days following the end of the school year.
